  1. I have just moved into Iberia Parish. How do I register my child in school?

    2. Students register at each school and must be accompanied by a parent. A copy of the birth certificate, proof of residence, a copy of immunization records, a copy of the social security card, and withdrawal information from the previous school are necessary for each child. Students entering kindergarten need a copy of the birth certificate, proof of residence, a copy of immunization records, and a copy of the social security card. Kindergarten registration is held in March of the year before the student begins school in August. The student must be five years old before September 30 of the year he/she will begin kindergarten. Questions about specific circumstances should be addressed to the Office of Child Welfare and Attendance.

  2. How do I know which school my child attends?

    3. Each school in Iberia Parish has an attendance zone. The Office of Child Welfare and Attendance has a copy of each attendance zone and can provide this information. Each school also has this information.

  3. What bus will my child ride to school?

    4. Iberia Parish provides bus transportation for each student registered at the school in their attendance zone. Bus driver names and bus numbers are available in the Transportation Department and at each school.

  4. How do I apply for a job in Iberia Parish?

    5. The office of Human Resources accepts applications throughout the school year. Job applications are available at the personnel office or may be downloaded from the website.

  5. Are there any job openings in my field?

    6. The office of Human Resources maintains a list of current job openings. The Personnel Director and other personnel from the school system also attend job fairs throughout the state.
