Migrant Education

The Migrant Education Program provides advocates who work with migrant parents, school, and community agencies to assure that qualified students are receiving maximum services. Migrant students are students whose parents' occupations are usually seasonal or temporary. Occupations that usually center around agriculture or fishing. Interpretative services and after-school tutoring are additional components provided through this program. Iberia Parish serves as the Local Operating Agency (LOA) for six areas which include the following parishes: Iberia, Lafayette, St. Landry, St. Martin, St. Mary, and Vermilion.
