Students must pay a $20.00 registration fee (CASH or MONEY ORDERS ONLY)

The A.C.E. UNIFORM POLICY will be strictly enforced.

Make-up orientation will be held Tuesday, August 9, 2011 at 1:30 p.m.

BELLE PLACE MIDDLE SCHOOL

7th Grade - Anytime between 9:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. to pick up schedules and pay fees.
8th Grade - Anytime between 1:00 p.m.-2:30 p.m. to pick up schedules and pay fees.

Total fees - $40.00 Includes ID card and lanyard, P.E. uniform, student planner, and registration fees. All checks should be made payable to Belle Place Middle School (BPMS). The student's name must be on the memo line of the check. Schedules will only be given to students in correct uniforms.

Parent orientation will be held on Monday, August 22, 2011 from 5:30 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.

Both 7th and 8th grade parents are invited to meet in the cafeteria for a short general assembly followed by individual team meetings.

Regulation parish uniforms must be worn for orientation.

CENTER STREET ELEMENTARY

   Students in ALL GRADES with their Last Name Beginning with the Letter A-L will report at 9:00 to 10:00. Orientation will begin in the Cafeteria then proceed to the classrooms.

   Students in ALL GRADES with their Last Name Beginning with the Letter M-Z will report at 10:00-11:00. Orientation will begin in the Cafeteria then proceed to the classrooms.

   Registration for Before/After School Care will be available in the cafeteria at all registration times.

   Students attending Center Street Elementary for the first time for the 2011-12 school year should register at the school office before the day of orientation, August 11, 2011

COTEAU ELEMENTARY

Thursday, August 11, 2011 - 5:30 p.m. - Anyone unable to attend the morning orientation may come at this time.

Thursday, August 11, 2011, 9:00 a.m. - Students in grades Kindergarten through sixth grades will report directly to the cafeteria. After a brief orientation with the Principal, students will be allowed to visit their classrooms.

Registration for Student Care will be held in the library. Prepayment for breakfast and/or lunch will be taken by the Cafeteria Manager on that day. Mandatory student I.D.'s and breakaway lanyards will be sold in the Cafeteria.

DODSON STREET ELEMENTARY

Last names beginning with A-L will meet in the cafeteria at 11:00 a.m.
Last names beginning with M-Z will meet in the students' classroom at 11:00 a.m.

At 11:30 a.m. these groups will switch.

12:00 noon - 1:00 p.m. - Annual back to school picnic.

We will review school wide policies, expectations for student behavior, request volunteers, and discuss school clubs, athletic teams, fundraisers, school improvement plans, etc., in the cafeteria. Teachers will be giving a grade level orientation in their respective classrooms with grade-level colleague.

School uniform must be worn.

First time students attending Hopkins Elementary School, if not registered, should register at the school's office between 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. beginning Monday, August 1, 2011 through August 10, 2011 for pre-teacher assignments. Proper documentation is required for registration.

JEANERETTE SENIOR HIGH

First Time Freshman - Tuesday, April 9, 2011, 9:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.

Students will report promptly to the gymnasium at 9:30 a.m. No student will be allowed in the gymnasium after orientation begins. The orientation will be open to students and parents only. Students will participate in break out sessions with LINK Crew team members. Students will receive ID pictures, class schedules and book lockers. Student fees are $25.00. This includes ID card, lanyard, student planner, school wide management handbook and book locker. Students must be in complete uniform. Students NOT in uniform will NOT be allowed to attend.

Repeat Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, Senior and Returning Skills Option Orientation will be held on the first day of school, Friday, August 12, 2011. Student fees are $25.00. This includes ID card, lanyard, student planner, school wide management handbook and book locker. FEES MUST BE PAID AT THE TIME OF REGISTRATION.

Any student who does not complete their scheduled orientation will be assessed a $30.00 orientation fee.

Parking permits MUST be purchased the first day of school. Cost is $15.00. Student must have Vehicle Registration, driver's license and proof of insurance.

Additional Fees: P.E. uniform and locker fee - $20.00.
Lab fees - Assessed for some classes at the beginning of each semester.

DRESS CODE WILL BE ENFORCED.

Parents of children in grades Pre-Kindergarten through sixth grade will report directly to their child's classroom for orientation. Student rosters will be posted outside each teacher's door.

Parents with more than one child may go to either of the presentations. Registration for student care will be held in the cafeteria. Prepayments for breakfast and/or lunch will be taken by the cafeteria manager on that day. Money for mandatory student IDs and breakaway lanyards ($8.00) will be collected by the classroom teacher.

SCHOOL UNIFORMS ARE REQUIRED IF STUDENTS ATTEND ORIENTATION.  

First time students attending Jefferson Island Elementary, if not registered, should register at the school's office between 9:00 a.m. through 1:00 p.m. beginning Monday, August 1st through Wednesday, August 10th for pre-teacher assignments (proper documentation is required for registration).

JOHNSTON STREET ELEMENTARY

9:00 a.m. - 9:20 a.m. - General Assembly (Present Act 365 & House Bill 754)
9:20 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. - Parents and students are to report to the individual classrooms for orientation. Teachers will reinforce information presented during general assembly and present other information necessary for the school year.

Students who were not enrolled at Johnston Street Elementary last year should register before orientation for pre-teacher assignments.

All students must be in school uniform on this day.

Orientation for sophomores, juniors, seniors, and skills option students will be held on the first day of school, Friday, August 12, 2011. Registration fees of $30.00 will be collected for student handbook, ID, lanyard and book locker. Students who drive to school must purchase a parking permit for $10.00.

NEW IBERIA SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL

Freshman - Tuesday, August 9, 2011 - 9:00 a.m. –Auditorium
Students will not be allowed to attend orientation if late. Please be prompt. Any student who does not complete their designated orientation will be assessed a $40.00 orientation fee. Orientation will be open to students and parents only. Visitors are not permitted. Students will take ID pictures, receive class schedules, receive lockers, and be allowed time to acquaint themselves with their class locations and the school plant. A total of $30.00 in fees will be collected (ID card, lanyard, student planner/handbook, and book locker). Students must be in complete school uniform.

Sophomore, Junior, Senior, Repeat Freshman, and Skills Option Orientation will be held on the first day of school. A total of $30.00 in fees will be collected (ID card, lanyard, student planner/handbook, and book locker).

Students can begin purchasing parking permits two weeks prior to the beginning of school for a cost of $25. A parking permit is needed to park on campus the first day of school.

Students with parents/caregivers are to report to the cafetorium for a brief orientation program followed by individual classroom visitations.

Classroom rosters will be posted outside of each classroom.

Student's school supplies: Please bring labeled supplies for orientation visit on Wednesday, August 10, 2011, if pre-purchased.

Registration for "Before/After School Care Program" will be held in the cafetorium after orientation with the site director.

Prepayments for "Breakfast and/or Lunch" will be taken by the cafeteria manager on orientation day for non-free lunch status students.

New 2011-2012 students to Pesson Elementary: Pre-registration is available Wednesday, July 27, 2011 through Wednesday, August 10, 2011 for pre-teacher assignment between 9:00 a.m. through 1:00 p.m. (Required IPSB information includes parent's utility bill, birth certificate, social security card, and previous school withdrawal sheet).
