  1. I have just moved into Iberia Parish. How do I register my child in school?
  2. Students register at each school and must be accompanied by a parent. A copy of the birth certificate, proof of residence, a copy of immunization records, a copy of the social security card, and withdrawal information from the previous school are necessary for each child.

  3. How do I know which school my child should attend?
  4. Each school in Iberia Parish has an attendance zone. The Office of Child Welfare and Attendance has a copy of each attendance zone and can provide this information. Each school also has this information.

  5. What bus will my child ride to school?
  6. Iberia Parish provides bus transportation for each student registered at the school in their attendance zone. Bus driver names and bus numbers are available in the Transportation Department and at each school.

  7. What is the student dress code policy?
  8. The Iberia Parish School Board has adopted a dress code for students in grades K-12.

  9. What if my child needs medication at school?
  10. Iberia Parish school Board has a policy in effect for the safety of all students. In addition, Iberia Parish and Louisiana School Law require:

    • A) The Parent obtain a Health Information Form and
    • a Medication Administration form
    • B) Have the physician complete the form
    • C) Obtain the school dose of medication in a pharmacy-labeled bottle
    • D) State Law requires that an adult must bring the medication to the school
    • E) Make an appointment with the school nurse

    There are several other forms to be completed so plan to spend a few minutes with the nurse.
